Selecting Arch Window Blinds

When designing the windows for your rooms, you may have been attracted by arch windows due to their aesthetic beauty. At that time it may not have occurred to you that you have to also consider the type of arch window blinds that would be required for such unique windows.

Unlike other types of blinds, arch window blinds can prove to be a tricky affair. It may not be easy to find them in the right size, color or design. This, however, does not mean that they are impossible to get. The major suppliers of blinds are a good place to begin your search. It is however important to have some information on hand before you begin shopping.

Measuring Arch Window Blinds

Unlike horizontal and vertical blinds whose dimensions are quite straightforward, arch window blinds will require a little bit of technique when taking measurements. You need to establish whether your window has a perfect arch or a non perfect arch. In a perfect arch, the height is always half the width of the window. If you measure the dimensions of your window and they do not meet this criterion, it means you are working with a non perfect arch.

Once the measurements are taken, your blinds supplier will be able to start processing your order for arch window blinds. For a perfect arch window, the supplier will either make your custom blinds as per the order or send you a set of ready-made one that fits your dimensions. Non perfect arch blinds will however require a template. This will normally involve a professional coming over to your home to take dimensions before finalizing the template. This is likely to cost you more but it will ensure you get arch window blinds that will fit perfectly.
